Role Descriptions

Our aim is simple - to ease congestion on England's roads. If we get it right, we can all look forward to safe roads, reliable journeys and being informed travellers. The following roles are critical to easing congestion on our roads and you will be working in partnership with the Police on unpredictable events of unknown duration - you can always expect the unexpected.

This is a new nationwide service which is being developed to help ease congestion on England's motorways and strategic road network. The service consists of two complementary parts - on-road Traffic Officers and staff in Regional Control Centres who direct and co-ordinate regional responses.
